![]() But the absolute lack of acknowledgement or sympathy was maddening. No sympathy or empathy whatsoever for the fact that they refunded my prepayment and now we’re costing me $$$ out of pocket. In fact I went to significant effort to ensure it was prepaid before my company was sold. I never asked hotel to refund the third night. I landed at DFW and hotel called to tell me I needed to produce another form of payment for the one remaining night that I never canceled. Hotel refunded all three nights to previous form of payment (company has now been sold). It used to be that you could walk into any hotel and pick up a folder with all the local information in it. ![]() The biggest con for me though was the lack of a map of nearby restaurants and entertainment. If the parking were part of the hotel fee in advance, we would not have had parents have to pay the amount of money just to house their car for four days so they could drive back home. Because of the nature of our trip, we could be reimbursed for the hotel, but not the parking. Could be improved - The $35 parking fee in addition to the hotel room was too much. It was more of a bar with a few things to eat. The rooftop restaurant was nice, but not really a restaurant. White is probably bot te best color for hotel furniture. ![]() The white couch-like thing in the room, while comfortable, was stained. The pillows were too soft, but that is probably a personal preference. Especially since I had fourth and fifth-grade students with me. I appreciated the attention to making it difficult for people to be in the hotel that shouldn't be. The staff is clearly the best asset here, though there were other good assets. Check-in was easy and the women at the check-in were extremely nice and helpful. The valet was great and extremely helpful. We went with kids from school because we were attending a robotics tournament nearby. The sound proofing is actually quite good as I couldn't hear a thing from above or next to us! All in all, a good hotel, just missing out a bit on making it great.… The beds could use a pad as they aren't the most comfy, but the rooms as a whole are not bad at all. Clean, tidy, and nice parking garage with valet. The Starbucks bar didn't seem to be open too much though, which was weird for a hotel as most will have the hours be around 8am-8pm. The hotel doesn't have the friendliest staff, but they all seem to do their jobs very well so it's easy to overlook. Including a good steakhouse (will be reviewing that next), there is a subway, a few sandwich shops, and a few other higher end food places within 2 blocks. Within a few blocks, there are some good food spots around. ![]() If you don't drink, not even worth going to. The bar is okay at best, with the food menu not having much on it. Not a bad place to stay! The property itself is in an okay area and easy to get to from the highway.
